ETG Talks 'Making Engineers Champions' at MIM VBM

All-round engineering solutions provider, Engineering Technology Group (ETG) held a Made in the Midlands Virtual Breakfast Morning to talk to members about the business and the services they offer. Established in 1996, the company prides itself on providing customers with the best innovations on the market to ‘Make Engineers Champions’.

After the usual introductions from members, ETG held a presentation to tell attendees more about the company. 

Offering customers a full turnkey solution, ETG strives to help clients be competitive leaders in their sector. This is demonstrated through the 5 stages of service they provide. This includes evaluation, utilizing ETG’s vast experience to deliver the manufacturing solution, increasing productivity and profitability, Design, Capability, Implementation and Aftercare - remaining a trusted partner to their customers. 

As providers of the largest CNC options in the UK, the company has three sites based in the UK and Ireland - Wellesbourne, Coventry and Newbridge, Ireland. With a technical support team based in both countries, their services include CNC milling and turning, wire EDM machines, 3d/additive manufacturing, balance machines, micro finishing machines, gear grinding machines and sub-contract laser marking. 

ETG are a dedicated supporter to industry sectors in which they supply to, during the 2020 pandemic they specifically supported their aerospace customers to help them innovate during a challenging time for the sector. The company also supplies to other major key sectors such as medical, rail, defence energy and telecommunication and general subcontractors, with a particular focus on EV technology.

During ETG’s presentation at the virtual breakfast morning, Graeme Thomas, Business Development Manager, said:

Support for their UK customers is vital to the business and is also highlighted through their 24/7 spares service. Housing £1m worth of spares to provide next day onsite deliveries. As well as support for their clients, ETG trains its staff in the high-quality software it offers to customers and offers training to external sources. 

After the presentation, members had the chance to network in smaller groups to build important relationships amongst industry leaders within the Made in Group network.
